I had a good friend message me and ask why he didn’t feel the “Presence of the Lord” in his life. He said that he had recently been saved and didn’t feel God’s presence in His life.
Do you know why this man doesn’t feel the “Presence of the Lord” in His life? It’s because he isn’t abiding in the Scriptures. Yeshua already dwells in him. Romans 8:9, “But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.” John 5:39, “Search the Scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of Me.” Most believers don’t spend enough time meditating therein “day and night” as David did in Psalm 1:2. The Bible says that King David thought about the Scriptures in the daytime and nighttime. Instead of watching tv before you go to sleep, try reading a passage of Scripture and thinking about what it means. You’ll be surprised how YeHoVaH works in your heart and mind with the Scriptures, showing you truths that you had never thought of before. YeHoVaH wants to get it to us, but the problem is on the receiving end. The question today is: Do you love the truth? Do you want the truths that Our Father wants to teach you? I do, I do, I do! Father please teach my Thy Word! The problem with a lot of believers today is that they have been inoculated from the truth of God’s Word. They listen to Christian radio, read Christian books, view Christian magazines, go to Christian seminars, and don’t have any time left to spend in the Word of YeHoVaH. But Yeshua told us in John 5:39 to SEARCH THE SCRIPTURES! Of course you’re not going to feel “The Presence of the Lord” if you’re spending all your time reading and listening to everything except the Word. If you snack all day on junk food, you’re not going to feel nourished either. You need the milk and meat of the Word to grow thereby. 1st Peter 2:2, “As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby.” Facebook friends, if you want to know His presence, then abide in the Word of Him, even as He abides in you, and have faith in YeHoVaH through the trials and tribulations that will come upon you. John 16:33, “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” Your “Blind Faith” in YeHoVaH will never be sweeter than when you have every reason in the world to quit, give up and turn back, but you hang in there for YeHoVaH proving that your faith is genuine. 🎶I know there’s a place you walked
Where love falls from the trees
My heart is like a broken cup
I only feel right on my knees
I spit out like a sewer hole
Yet still recieve your kiss
How can I measure up
to anyone now
After such a love as this?
Well, who are you…..🎶
A prayer from a destitute man asking YeHoVaH/God “Who are you” Such a cry if we are honest comes from all of us from time to time, especially in the dark tortured moments of life. In those dark time a few of the bravest of people can say “I have come to know YeHoVaH/God” You can understand what is being said but who among us really can lay claim to know Him fully. This is a deep subdued cry in the human heart to know the creator of the universe and at the same time to truly know who you are as well. To seek for something out side of ourselves that is more powerful, more awesome, more wonderful than we have experienced up till now. It’s like an experience of looking in the mirror and discovering who you really are and also discovering that you are coming face to face with a power that is greater than you. There are some of those YeHoVaH/God seekers in the old book that come face to face with something greater than themselves and also come face to face with their own dark destitute identity. Paul in Romans 7:24 comes to the same conclusion. He was a destitute man who was seeing himself and his life in the mirror.
“What a wretched man I am” Who will rescue me from this body that is subject to death?”
Isaiah another destitute man comes to a conclusion like Paul in Isaiah 6:5 “Woe to me!” I cried. “I am ruined! For I am a man of unclean lips, and I live among a people of unclean lips, and my eyes have seen the King, the Lord Almighty.”
Both of these destitute men were seeking something outside of themselves and in the process came face to face with who they were. To know YeHoVaH/God and to know who you really are is the deepest prayer that can be engaged with. In the lyrics of “Who are you” the line “My heart is like a broken cup, I only feel right on my knees” Brings us to the place of humble recognition. Oh how fantastic if we could all get to that point.
