I couldn’t find the lyrics anywhere online, so this is part of the song lyrics…what I heard them to be as I listened on Spotify and transcribed. All rights belong to Kate White Band and all The Glory belongs to God.

FEAR by Kate White

I’m standing on the banks of the river watching it rising.

Tired of praying, tired of crying, over analyzing.

Fear, Fear, get away from here.

Desperately trying to keep my head above water but it’s taking me under

Be a lot more peaceful, than trying to wrestle with the lightning and thunder.

Faith, Faith, tell me your still here.

Fear, Fear, get away from here.

Not gonna waste anymore tears.

(song goes on)

2 Timothy 1:7 (KJV)

For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

ABOUT

katewhitemusic

“For as long as I can remember, music has been an extension of my soul – a way to express my heart, to heal, to encourage others, to ‘speak’ truth in a song that can break through the walls around someone’s heart and let them know they are loved and that they matter.”

From her early roots playing bluegrass in her family band, to her infusion into folk/pop, celtic and country, Kate’s heart for organic grown and ambient infused arrangements continue to move her music and the message behind it forward.

Eight records in, Rise Up, Kate’s latest project and second release on the Responding Records label, is a full worship album combining the best of Kate’s folk influences with an indie / pop feel that is sure to bring a fresh sound to mainstream worship music.

Kate says, “The songs on this record truly reflect a sense of gratitude and celebration rising up out of the ashes. The struggle is real, but there is a joy that rises up from the rubble and makes something utterly beautiful and profound out of our lives when as we are faithful. May these songs bring a new intimacy and power to your walk with Jesus! And may they remind you of the freedom we have and the rest He has promised.”

Six Feet Down, released on The Responding Records label, has an Allison Krauss / Robert Plant ‘Rising Sands’ vibe with some Civil Wars mixed in.  Rooted in her own story, this album authentically covers deeper struggles of life, yet lifts to a hopeful conclusion.

Kate shares, “The message of this project weaves through the deeper brokenness of our lives and gives a voice to subjects that music often dances around but never fully addresses.  The beauty of it is it’s specific and illusive at the same time.  It calls you out if you’ve lied and cheated your way through life, yet it gives you a voice if you’ve never been heard.  It’s my prayer that this CD will give hope to those who are on both sides of an offense and strengthen all of us to move toward truth and wholeness.”

Kate is also a sought after speaker, something she would say pursued her…”I didn’t start off thinking I would be an artist and a speaker, but it grew naturally out of our events.  I often share stories in our concerts, stories behind the songs, the brokenness I’ve walked through or the deeper truths God is revealing to me as I grow and heal in my own life. I long to see people living balanced lives and pressing into God’s rest and mystery.  Many of us are running hard, too busy to slow down.  Sometimes that’s just life getting away from us, but often it can be a way to avoid what we’ve pushed down for too long – wounds, longings, disappointment, fear.  God knows it all and longs to draw us close…”  Kate speaks from an honest place about life, love, humility and surrender.

Kate lives in Vancouver, WA with her husband, Jeff and has three grown children. Kate tours regionally with her band and nationally as a solo artist and speaker.  She is the founder of Music That Matters, an organization dedicated to bringing hope to the broken and raising up artists to discover their unique call and story, and use their artistry to communicate their story to a lost and hurting world.

Six Feet Down is currently my FAVORITE album in life…

It’s just spot on for me and where I’m at right now in the chapter The Lord has me living out for His Glory. I am alive like never before and I am so excited and eager to serve God in what He has called me to do… Amen.

Here’s just a glimpse of what The Lord has done and is doing in my life. Special things and special people.. ♥

Praise God! You can look at these images and speculate lol.

The Lord is just on the move in my life like never before and I am soooo happy!

I am not afraid anymore. By The Grace of God I will speak and shout the Truth in Love!

I am so grateful and I bless His Holy Name for He really does make ALL things new!

Be blessed today in Yeshua’s Name! ♥

Resurrection & Vindication: Praise God! I’m a Whole lotta Woman :)

Psalm 135:14 (ESV)
“For the Lord will vindicate his people and have compassion on his servants.”

Glory to God! The God of The living and not the dead!

I was so dead and I’d been robbed of everything…then Yeshua breathed on me and RESURRECTED EVERYTHING!

I have never been more alive! I’m a whole lotta woman! 🙂

Kelly Clarkson – Whole Lotta Woman [Nashville Sessions]

Whole Lotta Woman
You ain’t know? Texas women do it bigger
(What? Say it ain’t so)
In the south, it don’t get realer, baby
Pot full of grits, I’m hotter than your mama’s supper, boy
Better get with it
Better watch your mouth, I might burn you, boy
You goin’, uh, downtown, gonna work
Good love I deserve
If you’re scared, go to church
Woo-woo! I’m a lover
Hold on tight, little country boy
I ain’t no girl, I’m a boss with orders
All I’m needin’ is a baby love me
Like a warm biscuit on a Sunday morning
I got what you want, I’m aiming to please
I got what it takes, I sure got the means
I got what you want, sugar, honey, iced tea
All eyes on me, oh, oh, baby
I’m a whole lotta woman
(From the way I walk and toss my hips)
I’m a whole lotta woman
(From the sound to my voice to the gloss on my lips)
I’m a whole lotta woman
(Anything I see I want, I get)
I’m a strong, badass chick with class and confidence, yeah
One time for the green
And rolling like Tina
Loving heart ain’t easy
Whoo-whoo, if you mean it
Hold on tight, little country boy
I ain’t no girl, I’m a boss with orders
All I’m needin’ is a baby love me
Like a warm biscuit on a Sunday morning
I got what you want, I’m aiming to please
I got what it takes, I sure got the means
I got what you want, sugar, honey, iced tea
All eyes on me, oh, oh, baby
I’m a whole lotta woman
(From the way I walk and toss my hips)
I said I’m a whole lotta woman
(From the sound to my voice to the gloss on my lips)
I’m a whole lotta woman
(Anything I see I want, I get)
I’m a strong, badass chick with class and confidence
Ain’t no competition, babe
It’s just can you keep up with me?
I can’t do a thing about my wicked ways with gravity
Higher than the leaves, they fall from trees like D-O-double-Gs
I reside in Tennessee, but Texas still flows deep in me
I’m a whole lotta woman
(From the way I walk and toss my hips)
I’m a whole lotta woman
(From the sound to my voice to the gloss on my lips)
I said I’m a whole lotta woman
(Anything I see I want, I get)
I’m a strong, badass chick with class and confidence

Personal Journey

Clean.

Lyrics:

I see shattered
You see whole
I see broken
But You see beautiful
And You’re helping me to believe
You’re restoring me piece by piece
There’s nothing too dirty
That You can’t make worthy
You wash me in mercy
I am clean
There’s nothing too dirty
That You can’t make worthy
You wash me in mercy
I am clean
What was dead now lives again
My heart’s beating, beating inside my chest
Oh I’m coming alive with joy and destiny
‘Cause You’re restoring me piece by piece
There’s nothing too dirty
That You can’t make worthy
You wash me in mercy
I am clean
There’s nothing too dirty
That You can’t make worthy
You wash me in mercy
I am clean
Washed in the blood of Your sacrifice
Your blood flowed red and made me white
My dirty rags are purified
I am clean
Washed in the blood of Your sacrifice
Your blood flowed red and made me white
My dirty rags are purified
I’m clean, I’m clean
Washed in the blood of Your sacrifice
Your blood flowed red and made me white
My dirty rags are purified
I’m clean
I am clean
I’m clean
Oh You made me
You wash me
Clean
Oh You made me clean
