Isaiah 41:10 – Fear thou not; for I [am] with thee: be not dismayed; for I [am] thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
2 Timothy 1:7 – For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
1 John 4:18 – There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.
1 (A Psalm of David.) The LORD [is] my shepherd; I shall not want.
2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou [art] with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.
Psalms 34:4 – I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.
Proverbs 29:25 – The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the LORD shall be safe.
Philippians 4:6 – Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
Psalms 56:3 – 56:4
3 What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee.
4 In God I will praise his word, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me.
Philippians 4:6 – Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
Romans 8:15 – For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
Romans 8:38 – 8:39
38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Isaiah 43:1 – 43:3
1 But now thus saith the LORD that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called [thee] by thy name; thou [art] mine.
2 When thou passest through the waters, I [will be] with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.
3 For I [am] the LORD thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour: I gave Egypt [for] thy ransom, Ethiopia and Seba for thee.
Philippians 4:6 – 4:7
6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Deuteronomy 31:6 – Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the LORD thy God, he [it is] that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.
Matthew 6:25 – 6:34
25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?
26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?
27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?
28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:
29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, [shall he] not much more [clothe] you, O ye of little faith?
31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day [is] the evil thereof.
1 Peter 5:6 – 5:7
6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:
7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
Isaiah 35:4 – Say to them [that are] of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come [with] vengeance, [even] God [with] a recompence; he will come and save you.
John 14:27 – Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
Exodus 14:14 – The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.
Psalms 27:1 – ([A Psalm] of David.) The LORD [is] my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD [is] the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
The Lord is on my side; I will not fear:
what can man do unto me?
2 Chronicles 20:17 (KJV)
Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the Lord with you, O Judah and Jerusalem: fear not, nor be dismayed; to morrow go out against them: for the Lord will be with you.
These 7 minutes could change your life forever.

I realized that God is more than just to be feared. He truly wants a relationship with ME. He loves ME. He loves YOU. So much that He left Heaven and died on that Cross.
Jesus took the COMPLETE WRATH of God The Father upon Him. The death that I should be dying. The sentence He knew I would be guilty of thousands of years before I was born…He offered Himself up for Me. Even ME.
I just want to completely soak HIM in. I want to walk with Him and talk with Him. I want our relationship to be stronger. I want us to be closer. In fact, I want Him to draw me into the very heart of HIM. I want to be right there. I just want Jesus. He wanted me and had been waiting on me all along. He could see the path I would follow and the many dark detours I would take.
God watched over me when I got sick with a Bipolar Manic episode. I turned away from Him. He knew all of the terrible things I would do, people I would do wrong, and the suffering to come. He NEVER left my side. The verse that says He will Never leave you nor forsake you….I have experienced God in the dark.
We all come to know Lord Jesus in our own ways, on our own unique paths. Each and every one of us has a past. A story. And It matters to Him! Not just because of the wrong and the sin…but because of what JESUS wants to do in your life!!! He is the life-healing glue that put me back in place. He’s my everything. I was His Everything before I was ever even aware of it.
So I know that if my GOD has brought me this far in life, He certainly is NOT going to let me down now.
If you don’t have your own relationship with Jesus right now, today is the day to seek Him. We aren’t promised tomorrow. No one can save you but Jesus. And it is only you that can approach The Savior who awaits you with outstretched arms.
I encourage you to come to the Fountain of Living Water…you will NEVER thirst again…
Seek Jesus today.
Turn away from the sins in your life and leave the old you behind on the Cross, or repent. You are PAID FOR in full! Accept this Salvation today. If you believe that Jesus Christ is the SON of the Living GOD, then the Word of GOD says you must act upon your faith, upon your confession, be baptized, just like Jesus was in the Book of Matthew…down into the water, immersed. Jesus is our example. After we are baptized into the Body of Christ, then we must simply live faithfully the rest of our lives, walking with God.
Acts 2:38 ” Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.”
Bring your broken heart, bring your disease and sickness, bring your addiction, bring your grieving….bring everything to His feet. Actual HOPE can only be found in Christ. He freed me when I didn’t even know I was in chains…
So today I’m asking Him,
Let me experience you on a whole new level, Father. I’m ready.
“Pay attention to what I say; turn your ear to my words. Do not let them out of your sight, keep them within your heart; for they are life to those who find them and health to one’s whole body.” Proverbs 4:20b-22 (NIV)
|Do you ever get overwhelmed when you sit down to read your Bible? There are so many books, deep thoughts, spiritual insights and life-altering truths … where do we begin for today?
My sticky farm table and I have a long history of early mornings together. I gather up my Bible and my computer. I push past the sleepy feelings begging me to go back to my bed. And I look at the well-worn book as my love letter from God.
I don’t say that in a syrupy, flowery way. Truly, His words are a lifeline to me. A whisper from my God. A personal note. A treasure.
But right now I’m in a season where I don’t consume chapters at a time. Some days it’s just one or two verses that I tuck into my heart so I can live out our key verses (Proverbs 4:20-22) and pay attention to what God says.
I want to really pay attention. I need to listen well to what God is saying. I look for one verse that I can savor word by word, letting it sink in deeply … interrupting me, rearranging me, redirecting me.
And I pray …
“God, what plans have I made for today that this verse needs to interrupt?
“God, what thoughts did I bring in from yesterday that this verse needs to rearrange?
“And God, what heart attitudes have I been carrying that this verse needs to redirect?”
His Word is the protective covering over my plans, my mind and my heart. To let me run free without it, will surely find me tripping over my own selfishness, insecurities and weaknesses. So, with His love letter, He reminds me to pause, pause, pause.
Pause and let the Holy Spirit intervene in my natural flesh response.
Pause so I don’t make the conversations all about me.
Pause and remember I’m not always right.
Pause to see the blessings, so many blessings, and say “thank you” at least once an hour.
Pause to serve, pause to give, pause to encourage when everyone else rushes by.
“My son, if you accept my words and store up my commands within you, turning your ear to wisdom and applying your heart to understanding — indeed, if you call out for insight and cry aloud for understanding … then you will understand what is right and just and fair — every good path,” (Proverbs 2:1-3, 9, NIV).
Don’t get overwhelmed with the enormity and depth of the Bible.
It’s okay if we read just a verse or two today.
But more importantly than reading His words, we must choose to receive them. And even more importantly, we must live them.
Dear Lord, help me to see You today in a single word or in a single verse. You are all powerful and anything is possible through You. May Your words and Your truth seep into the plans I make and every thought I think today. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

|“Yes, he alone is my Rock, my rescuer, defense and fortress. Why then should I be tense with fear when troubles come?” Psalm 62:2 (TLB)
As I headed down the gateway toward the plane, I noticed something was different. My heart wasn’t racing and my palms weren’t damp with perspiration. To say it was a phenomenon is an understatement.
The fact that I wasn’t afraid was proof God was changing me from the inside out. Years prior, you couldn’t have paid me enough to step foot on a plane.
As I looked out the plane window, I marveled at the beautiful day God created. There’s not a cloud in the sky … It’s going to be great flying weather. No bumps or turbulence to worry about. I can just sit back, relax and enjoy.
One hour into the flight I was singing a different tune. Although the sky was still clear, the turbulence was anything but enjoyable. Even the flight attendants were asked to take their seats, and the cockpit was silent. Uh … hello? Can someone tell me what’s going on up there?!?!
What started out as a relaxing flight turned into a stressful experience. With three hours left in the flight, I didn’t want to feel anxious the entire time. I needed to shift my focus off the turbulence and on to God.
With all the bumping, shifting and rattling, it wouldn’t be easy, but it was necessary. I was determined to learn from this experience, not be terrified by it.
So after praying for God’s protection, I closed my eyes and whispered, “God, what are You trying to teach me? What am I supposed to learn?”
For the remainder of the flight I waited and watched for God to reveal some invaluable lesson. By the time we landed I walked off the plane with this in mind: Unexpected turbulence creates an opportunity to experience more of God.
It’s the perfect opportunity to …
Grow my faith.
Remember Who is in control.
Make a refining decision.
Watch for God’s goodness and glory.
Has life been tossing you around lately? The next time you experience a little turbulence … whether on a flight or at ground level … remember that you have full access to the One who will hold you steady and secure. Just like Psalm 62:2 states, “Yes, he alone is my Rock, my rescuer, defense and fortress. Why then should I be tense with fear when troubles come?”
Heavenly Father, as I face today’s challenges, help me not to shrink back in fear or discouragement. Instead, teach me how to see these challenges as an opportunity to grow my faith, to remember You are in control, to be refined, and to experience Your goodness and glory. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

May not make sense right now. It happened to me.
I came out on the other side of the tunnel as I was led by the Brightest Light…
God bless 🙂
