Let’s have us a little Revival. ♥

On the way back to the car along my blessed afternoon walk, I reached for my phone to put on something faster to wrap things up with some pep.  I wound up looking through Sara Evans songs. I came across Revival and because of the title, I had to listen. I looked for it on YouTube and I found this video about the song.

This song means a lot to me. I really enjoy it. It is my prayer that The Lord blesses all of you with a little revival in your hearts tonight as you listen to this song and sing along in your soul. The Lord is at work in the earth. It’s not over yet. These may be the end times, but God’s People are still here to be The Light! HalleluJah! A little revivial!

Amen to LOVE!

My good friend at work Robert Tunin, always quotes this song “Freewill” (If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice). “Freewill” is the second track on Rush’s 1980 album Permanent Waves. It is written by Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson with lyrics by Neil Peart. The song’s lyrics deal with the subject of free will, emphasizing that free will is not a gift but rather a choice, explaining that no one can attempt to evade the fact that they must choose, but that evasion is itself a choice. I believe “Freewill” is Neil Peart’s attempt to proclaim a disbelief in YeHoVaH. There are many things that Peart gets wrong in the song, and many things he gets wrong about YeHoVaH. The main thing is that he sees the idea of Our Father as some impersonal puppet master and that somehow a belief in spiritual things is futile. This a song I have heard many times and also played in a few bands I was in. The song is a great musical piece and the words hang together lyrically. But there is no truth in it. Yes there is “Freewill” YeHoVaH has designed the human family with “Freewill” and the danger is that with free will comes the “Freewill” to reject Him. This is the one continuous thing since the garden of Eden incident that humankind has “Free-willed” and taken the choice to reject Him. We live in a world that has rejected YeHoVaH and the idea of God. The bible tells the story of a God and the plan of restoration. From Genesis to Revelation we find a story that involves hundreds of characters, dramatic scenes, battles, intrigue, love, abandonment, loss of cities, slavery, captivity. Biblical history tells the story of a God who is deeply committed to a relationship with his creation. Far away from the idea that He is distant. He is present in his nearness. He is not in some fluffy cloud heaven but inhabits the world today. YeHoVaH gives everyone the freedom to choose Him or reject Him. The bible is littered with people who have made the choice to reject or to receive Him. Rejection has consequences as well as Receiving has consequences. When we often talk about “Freewill” we talk about it in a way that is individualistic and selfish not a “Freewill” that is concerned with the world and selfless. “Freewill” has been used in the past to justify the most horrible of actions and inhumanities. Facebook friends, let’s not go there again. In John’s gospel we find John the apostle talking about those that receive or reject Yeshua.

John 1:1-13
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. He came as a witness, to bear witness about the light, that all might believe through him. He was not the light, but came to bear witness about the light. The true light, which enlightens everyone, was coming into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made through him, yet the world did not know him. He came to his own, and his own people did not receive him. But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God. John speaks of what it looks like to receive Yeshua and what are the consequences of receiving Yeshua. John’s prologue starts like reading Genesis. We find YeHoVaH in it, we find choice in it, we find here a description of what He is like in this prologue. We find a description also of what happens to the person who receives and does not reject Yeshua. We also find Yeshua’s role in the creation it’s self and the relationship that a person will come into because of their reception or welcome of Him. John says that we become family, we become children of God. People who are now related to God. The old order of things now reversed. That which happened in the Garden of Eden now over because of Yeshua. The “Freewill” choice to chose has had it’s fulfilment when Yeshua is chosen. When he is received. We become people who are in relationship with YeHoVaH’s. The Rush song “Freewill” is an anthem to Neil Peart’s understanding of the way things are. My own understanding is not like Peart’s. Paradise was lost in the Garden but, it is now found in Our Messiah Yeshua. That would be my own understanding. Far from being puppets at the hands of an impersonal puppet master. Those who receive Yeshua take their rightful place as children of YeHoVaH. “Freewill” has led me to the feet of Yeshua and I have chosen to follow him”. What about you? Amen?

I received an email today from a friend in Iowa. He is a “New Believer.” It reads,”I would like to help others, but knowing what to say and how to say it stops me in my tracks.” So friends, how do share your simple faith without making people run and hide from you? I replied to him with one of my favorite quotes “You are what you do….Not what you say you will do.” People can spot a phony from a mile away. The absolute worst thing you can do is say one thing and do another. If you aren’t committed to applying the principles of Yeshua in your own life, you will not only be ineffective, but will be seen as insincere and phony. Most people aren’t as interested in what you say, as they are in seeing how it’s working in your life. I remember before he passed away, Johnny Cash did a stripped down version of “Personal Jesus” on his 2002 album American IV, The Man Comes Around. Martin Gore, the singer of Depeche Mode, revealed to The London Times that the band were unaware that Cash had covered this song. When they heard about the country legend’s recording, the threesome were naturally thrilled. Said Gore, “I think when you’re somebody of Johnny Cash’s caliber, you don’t ask for permission.” Cash explained why he chose to cover this song (as quoted in Mojo October 2013) “I heard that as a gospel song. And if you think of it as a gospel song, it works really well. We didn’t have any major disagreement over that song, I just heard that a couple of people had recorded it, the writer wanted me to try it, and I did, and I loved it. And I went for it.” This was inspired by Priscilla Presley’s book Elvis And Me, where she described their relationship. Martin Gore of Depeche Mode said, “It’s a song about being a Jesus for somebody else, An Example, someone to give you hope and care. It’s about how Elvis was her man and her mentor and how often that happens in love relationships, how everybody’s heart has a compassionate and caring side to it that is a supreme example to others. In my Bible reading today I found Yeshua washing his disciples feet in John 13:1-15. Yeshua shows them how to be an example how to be a “Personal Jesus” to each other. There’s nothing worse than somebody trying to preach to you about something going on in your life when all you can think about is finding a way to fix it. At that moment, the last thing you want to see is somebody carrying a Bible, acting like they know exactly what you need and how you feel. And truth be told, when they ask you to read from their Bible, you’re thinking you’d rather hit them over the head with it! This is the very scenario that makes the concept of sharing your faith so intimidating. Most people would like to help others, but knowing what to say and how to say it stops you in your tracks. So how do share your simple faith without making people run and hide from you? Facebook friends, the best way to share your faith is to be an example. People will want to know how you can be peaceful in the storm, why your kids are doing so well, why your marriage is so great, and how you know for sure about your purpose in life. And when they ask, you’ll have all kinds of great stuff to share. Being a “Personal Jesus” to some one else is what He was doing at the supper table with his disciples. Being an example is perhaps the most important thing you will do in life. Amen? https://youtu.be/jQcNiD0Z3MU

Today on the way to work I listened to one of my favorite Johnny Cash songs, “God’s Gonna Cut You Down”. Johnny was indeed a Believer! He often called himself the “Biggest Sinner” he knew. Paul in the Bible at the end of his life called himself the “Biggest Sinner” as well. True, he had once opposed the Gospel, but his life as an enemy of God was long over and even long forgotten. He had been a Believer for decades, known throughout the world as a saint. But at the end of his life, he tells the story of getting saved as if it were yesterday. The principle of my blog today is as old as Passover. If you want to get to the Promised Land, you must never stop thanking YeHoVaH/God for taking you out of “Your Egypt”. Never forget how He saved you. Peter wrote that those who lack godly qualities are those who have forgotten their salvation. Give thanks to the YeHoVaH for saving you out of “Your Egypt” as if it just happened, and one day, you’ll give thanks to Him for bringing you into the Promised Land. Facebook friends, I love each and every one of you! With Passover coming up, practice the principle of Passover by giving thanks for how He saved you and delivered you from bondage. Live as if you just got saved today. Please share this post today, you may never know who these words may encourage. Amen? https://youtu.be/eJlN9jdQFSc

Is It All Getting to You?

Are you tired of the same old thing? Are you frustrated with your relationships, your job (or lack of)? Are you depressed and living in despair? All is bleak, you’re broken and worn. Can’t take it anymore… What’s the point of it all?

doorBG

The world is hurting right now. So many people are currently facing these dead-end type of situations and obstacles in their lives. More people than you can imagine are at their wits end right now. These problems are just monumental! They are like giant walls. We cannot get around nor climb over.

It’s no coincidence. Everything has gone haywire, but the world is too busy and spinning so fast that nobody can see what’s happening before their very eyes and in their very lives. And face it. We are distracted on every side with the smart phones, tablets, all sorts of electronic gadgets. Social Media..keeping up with everyone…spending lots of time online…movies, T.V. and all…

The point is that most people don’t want to deal with it. The truth isn’t always friendly. We don’t like being told we’re wrong-at least I know I don’t. But I was wrong about it all. Then I woke up to reality and saw the world for what it really is.  And what a rude awakening is was when I realized how deep the pit was. The rut that I found myself in. I couldn’t cut it with today’s world and I was self medicating.

Making changes in our lives is quite uncomfortable. But one day I answered the door when The Lord Jesus Christ, The Son of The Living God Jehovah (The God of The Bible) came knocking. I could have ignored Him as many times before, but He came to me at a time when I just couldn’t make it anymore. I couldn’t do this thing called life. He set me free from the bondage of sin. The old me is gone forever and I’m forgiven, reconciled to God by the Blood our Lord Jesus shed on The Cross. He saved a wretch like me. If I can trust Jesus to get me out of the pit, you can too. It’s more than a decision. It’s a new way of life!

We come to God just as we are with our dirtiness and brokenness and open wounds. Then God makes us clean, BRAND NEW through Jesus Christ! You don’t come to God perfect. He accepts us as we are and erases the past!

Things are growing darker in this world today-and if you seek to know God through His Son Jesus, you will be able to see with spiritual eyes for yourself. Friend, things are only going to get worse and coming to Christ, belonging to God is the only way out. Jesus is going to come and take those that are His away from the looming 7 year Tribulation written of in the Bible, The Word of God.  The New World Order is complete but cannot be implemented until The true followers of Christ are taken out of the way. The new one-world government, currency, Mark of The Beast (in the right hand or forehead…see Revelation Chapter 13) and revealing of the Antichrist (most likely Barack Obama, see Bible Verses About The Antichrist),  Right now it’s considered “not cool” to stand for God through Jesus Christ, the ONLY WAY to God, unlike what Oprah and many other deceivers are teaching. It is considered hate speech to stand for an absolute right and believe in an absolute wrong.  Nobody wants to offend anyone…

The Time is NOW. We aren’t guaranteed another breath. Choose Jesus and eternity in Heaven this moment BEFORE The Rapture!

Those who are left behind after the Rapture of the Church (When we are caught up with Jesus) will be faced with an excruciating choice—accept the mark of the beast in order to survive or face starvation and horrific persecution by the Antichrist and his followers. But those who come to Christ during this time, those whose names are written in the Lamb’s book of life (Revelation 13:8), will choose to endure, even to martyrdom.

The Blind Man

This poem was written by a dear Brother in Christ concerning his awakening in God.

THE BLIND MAN, by Joseph Arthurs

My eyes have been shielded
Too many years by now
My heart of rock not yielded
Remaining made of stone.
Why have I ignored this
Letting life pass wearily along
Did I not see the answer
Shining clearly all day long
My arrogance and pride misled me
Telling me I was doing fine
I just decided to let things be
Submitting my heart each time
Til the day He nudged me
Riding on my high horse
My eyes blinked open slowly
As I saw I was at a loss
Now let me say to you clearly
I hope those days are past
It was His grace shocked me
To learn,to pray..but fast
May God now maintain me
Keeping me on His path
With Jesus’ love redeeming
The Spirit too has my back.

Soul Carrier

My body was never good enough as a teenager and into my early twenties. I had this poster of Britney Spears I held as my high standard. As close as I got…even being able to buy a single digit size 2 piece, It did NOT look like the poster! I absolutely did NOT look right. I shed so many pounds! I even did some toning and kickboxing and still no.

The fact is, not everybody’s body is gonna look like the 18 year old Britney Spears centerfold that I kept as a measuring tool!

I would NEVER accept the reality that only a small percentage of women have the physical makeup capable of pulling off a bikini look like hers.  But now, looking back as a 30 year old woman, I feel like a caged bird set free!!!

I found Recovery from my eating disorder at 22, but it was when I finally considered myself as my own unique type of beauty that things began to change. My stubborn self-criticizing mind fought it so hard. I resisted this new way of thinking to the max and then some.

Basically, to sum it up.,..

Through years of Bulimia, depression, therapy, Bipolar hospitalizations, eating disorder outpatient groups, and constant comparing myself to other women (famous and non-famous) I have learned that I am enough. I am okay. You see, for me it was all about rejection. The lies of the Devil himself led me to constant negative thought patterns, 24/7. I hated my life, my body…i hated myself. I was going against myself. My own worst enemy.*

*Note: I was NOT my own worst enemy. Satan, the devil himself was…and is now for everyone.

One day I had an awakening. This body of mine that I hated, the very cause of my unhappiness,  that I even self harmed over the years, was more than my body.

This is my Soul Carrier!

My flesh that I walk in and live in every day of my life contains something so delicate, so precious, so much more…

My Soul! My TRUE Being is operating from inside my now plus-sized, unique body. Becoming a Christian makes this the Temple of God. I am not my own. I was bought at a price. Though I didn’t believe that for years, the freedom I have NOW within the knowledge that I was believing lies…is priceless. Yes, ultimately it is

Jesus = freedom. You know in the Bible there’s a verse for this feeling.

“And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
-Philippians 4:7

It is possible to absolutely hate yourself, what you look like & think your life is over…and still overcome it all to find peace that is out of this world. I’m here to tell you it can be done, no matter what the circumstances. Everybody has their own personal story and journey. All of the clothes I bought in debt, gym memberships, and all other attempts to perfect this look i had in my head, totally don’t have to have ’em! I am beautiful, fearfully and wonderfully made in the image of God Himself, just as you are! Shopping sprees, binging on sweets and stuff only puts a Band-Aid on the pain. There is relief. Peace, out of this world.
