🎶I was sick and tired, fed up with this
And decided to take a drive downtown
It was so very quiet and peaceful
There was nobody, not a soul around
I laid myself out, I was so tired
And I started to dream
In the morning the parking tickets were just
Like a flag stuck on my window screen
I says, “hey, you, get off of my cloud
Hey, you, get off of my cloud
Hey, you, get off of my cloud
Don’t hang around ’cause two’s a crowd
On my cloud, baby🎶
While spinning some Rolling Stones tonight, I realized even Yeshua/Jesus knew that He needed to stop and rest. My all time favorite Stones song is “Get Off of My Cloud”. It was written as a follow up single to the successful “Satisfaction”. Written by Mick Jagger and Keith Richards, the song was recorded in early September 1965. As many of you know, I’m a drummer and the song is noted for its drum intro by one of my influences Charlie Watts. And also known for the twin guitars by Brian Jones and Keith Richards. The lyrics are defiant and rebellious, which was common practice for the Rolling Stones around that time, they were beginning to cultivate their infamous “bad boy” image. The Stones have said that the song is written as a reaction to their sudden popularity after the success of “Satisfaction”. The song deals with their aversion to people’s expectations of them. In the gospels we find Yeshua/Jesus from time to time taking himself off from the crowds to be on his own. He did not say “Hey! You! Get off of my cloud”. I believe for His own sanity, for His own survival he needed time alone.
“And early in the morning, while it was still dark, He arose and went out and departed to a lonely place, and was praying there” ( Mark 1:35)
Yeshua/Jesus simply needed space. We all need a bit of space. The main character in the Stone’s song wants serenity and to hit pause on the chaotic outside world. Disconcertingly, people continue to present new tasks and hassles to interfere with his life. After two such episodes, the main character travels farther into a desolate part of town, hoping to find peace, yet he wakes up to find that someone gave him a parking ticket. He accepts that there is no longer such a thing as privacy. Yeshua/Jesus wants the same in the gospel passages, space will replenish Him and equip Him for further ministry. Unlike the song Yeshua/Jesus admits that everyone needs privacy and that you need to take the opportunity to make sure you get it. Although good relationships with friends and family are critical, the ability to get alone time is fundamental. Choosing to have alone time frees us from other people’s opinions and our need to entertain. Aloneness allows us to meditate and separate from our needs and issues that relate to others. This could be what Yeshua/Jesus is doing in the Gospel passages when He goes to be alone. It’s this principle that He offer to us too. Facebook friends, people have their own clouds, which is conducive to a mindset of tranquility. On each person’s cloud, the individual can perch up and appreciate the surrounding divine aspects of life. If only we could schedule time like our Messiah to break away from our phones and TVs and take nights off to stay at home by ourselves and read. Like Yeshua/Jesus in those passages we need to take time by ourselves to find our inner peace, because sometimes we shouldn’t have people on our cloud and we shouldn’t be on theirs. Sometimes for our own sanity we just need to get away. Amen?
🎶Blinded by the light
Revved up like a deuce
Another runner in the night
Blinded by the light🎶
“Blinded by the Light” is a song written and originally recorded by Bruce Springsteen, although it is mostly known by its 1977 #1 hit version recorded by Manfred Mann’s Earth Band. Mann’s remake was released in the United Kingdom in August 1976, where it reached No. 6 in the charts. A song that speaks of blindness similar to Paul on the Damascus road. Paul had a powerful testimony, but not everyone knew what to make of his sudden turn around. Could he be trusted? Would it last? Was he safe? Perhaps it was for everybody’s sake he was sent home to sort himself out. Verses in Acts 31-32 are one of a series of summary interludes Luke uses between sections of his story, but one wonders how much the “time of peace” in 31 is the calm after the disturbance of someone who saw the truth about Yeshua/Jesus uncomfortably clearly. New converts often have the strengths of their weaknesses. Uninhibited boldness. A fresh experience. A new story. It is a pity if growth in sensitivity and tact and a growing awareness of the complexities in life and faith dull clear testimony. It does not have to be. Paul was not an instantly mature Believer, never mind a leader. He knew a lot, but had to discover what it meant to be a disciple. Over a long period he learnt how to be more relevant and less abrasive, when to speak and when to keep quiet and what to say, but if he grew in wisdom he did not fail in courage and neither need we. A reckless witness is careless of the risks to others, and also uncaring about effectiveness. A living gracious witness can speaking for Yeshua/Jesus and be both bold and sensitive and which knows what can be done and what risks to run. Again we need grace to grow as Paul did, and wisdom to handle Paul’s God which He is sending to stir up our sleepy fellowships. Thank YeHoVaH/God for people like Barnabas. Pray for those who may be brash young disciples today, but who will be our “church” and mission leaders tomorrow. We need to be open to what He wants us to do. We are often surprised how YeHoVaH/God chooses to work. Just like those in Acts 9:21. God is in the business of calling the people we least expect. No one more fits the bill than Paul. YeHoVaH/God had to get his attention. Yeshua/Jesus the light of the world turned up in a big way and Paul was “Blinded by the Light” Amen?
I had a good friend message me and ask why he didn’t feel the “Presence of the Lord” in his life. He said that he had recently been saved and didn’t feel God’s presence in His life.
Do you know why this man doesn’t feel the “Presence of the Lord” in His life? It’s because he isn’t abiding in the Scriptures. Yeshua already dwells in him. Romans 8:9, “But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.” John 5:39, “Search the Scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of Me.” Most believers don’t spend enough time meditating therein “day and night” as David did in Psalm 1:2. The Bible says that King David thought about the Scriptures in the daytime and nighttime. Instead of watching tv before you go to sleep, try reading a passage of Scripture and thinking about what it means. You’ll be surprised how YeHoVaH works in your heart and mind with the Scriptures, showing you truths that you had never thought of before. YeHoVaH wants to get it to us, but the problem is on the receiving end. The question today is: Do you love the truth? Do you want the truths that Our Father wants to teach you? I do, I do, I do! Father please teach my Thy Word! The problem with a lot of believers today is that they have been inoculated from the truth of God’s Word. They listen to Christian radio, read Christian books, view Christian magazines, go to Christian seminars, and don’t have any time left to spend in the Word of YeHoVaH. But Yeshua told us in John 5:39 to SEARCH THE SCRIPTURES! Of course you’re not going to feel “The Presence of the Lord” if you’re spending all your time reading and listening to everything except the Word. If you snack all day on junk food, you’re not going to feel nourished either. You need the milk and meat of the Word to grow thereby. 1st Peter 2:2, “As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby.” Facebook friends, if you want to know His presence, then abide in the Word of Him, even as He abides in you, and have faith in YeHoVaH through the trials and tribulations that will come upon you. John 16:33, “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” Your “Blind Faith” in YeHoVaH will never be sweeter than when you have every reason in the world to quit, give up and turn back, but you hang in there for YeHoVaH proving that your faith is genuine. Amen? https://youtu.be/HIcESt9eYRk
“One of the fastest ways of discouraging yourself and getting trapped by the sin of envy is when you compare yourself to others. God has a specific plan for you and you won’t accomplish that plan by looking at others.
Count your blessings and not the blessings of someone else. Let God control your life and give Satan no opportunity to discourage you from the purpose God has for you. Know that all you need is Christ. Set your mind at peace by focusing on the Lord.”
What does the Bible say?
(All in The King James Version)
4 But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another.
5 For every man shall bear his own burden.
2 Corinthians 10:12
For we dare not make ourselves of the number, or compare ourselves with some that commend themselves: but they measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise.
1 Thessalonians 4:11-12
11 And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you;
12 That ye may walk honestly toward them that are without, and that ye may have lack of nothing.
For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.
A sound heart is the life of the flesh: but envy the rottenness of the bones.
1 Corinthians 3:3
For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
1 John 2:15
Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.
For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.
Cease ye from man, whose breath is in his nostrils: for wherein is he to be accounted of ?
And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.
5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
1 Timothy 6:6-8
6 But godliness with contentment is great gain.
7 For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.
8 And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
1 Thessalonians 5:18
In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
136 O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.
2 O give thanks unto the God of gods: for his mercy endureth for ever.
2 Corinthians 10:17
But he that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.
1 Corinthians 11:1
Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
The Lord will perfect that which concerneth me: thy mercy, O Lord, endureth for ever: forsake not the works of thine own hands.
2 Corinthians 13:5
Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.
Are you tired of the same old thing? Are you frustrated with your relationships, your job (or lack of)? Are you depressed and living in despair? All is bleak, you’re broken and worn. Can’t take it anymore… What’s the point of it all?
The world is hurting right now. So many people are currently facing these dead-end type of situations and obstacles in their lives. More people than you can imagine are at their wits end right now. These problems are just monumental! They are like giant walls. We cannot get around nor climb over.
It’s no coincidence. Everything has gone haywire, but the world is too busy and spinning so fast that nobody can see what’s happening before their very eyes and in their very lives. And face it. We are distracted on every side with the smart phones, tablets, all sorts of electronic gadgets. Social Media..keeping up with everyone…spending lots of time online…movies, T.V. and all…
The point is that most people don’t want to deal with it. The truth isn’t always friendly. We don’t like being told we’re wrong-at least I know I don’t. But I was wrong about it all. Then I woke up to reality and saw the world for what it really is. And what a rude awakening is was when I realized how deep the pit was. The rut that I found myself in. I couldn’t cut it with today’s world and I was self medicating.
Making changes in our lives is quite uncomfortable. But one day I answered the door when The Lord Jesus Christ, The Son of The Living God Jehovah (The God of The Bible) came knocking. I could have ignored Him as many times before, but He came to me at a time when I just couldn’t make it anymore. I couldn’t do this thing called life. He set me free from the bondage of sin. The old me is gone forever and I’m forgiven, reconciled to God by the Blood our Lord Jesus shed on The Cross. He saved a wretch like me. If I can trust Jesus to get me out of the pit, you can too. It’s more than a decision. It’s a new way of life!
We come to God just as we are with our dirtiness and brokenness and open wounds. Then God makes us clean, BRAND NEW through Jesus Christ! You don’t come to God perfect. He accepts us as we are and erases the past!
Things are growing darker in this world today-and if you seek to know God through His Son Jesus, you will be able to see with spiritual eyes for yourself. Friend, things are only going to get worse and coming to Christ, belonging to God is the only way out. Jesus is going to come and take those that are His away from the looming 7 year Tribulation written of in the Bible, The Word of God. The New World Order is complete but cannot be implemented until The true followers of Christ are taken out of the way. The new one-world government, currency, Mark of The Beast (in the right hand or forehead…see Revelation Chapter 13) and revealing of the Antichrist (most likely Barack Obama, see Bible Verses About The Antichrist), Right now it’s considered “not cool” to stand for God through Jesus Christ, the ONLY WAY to God, unlike what Oprah and many other deceivers are teaching. It is considered hate speech to stand for an absolute right and believe in an absolute wrong. Nobody wants to offend anyone…
The Time is NOW. We aren’t guaranteed another breath. Choose Jesus and eternity in Heaven this moment BEFORE The Rapture!
Those who are left behind after the Rapture of the Church (When we are caught up with Jesus) will be faced with an excruciating choice—accept the mark of the beast in order to survive or face starvation and horrific persecution by the Antichrist and his followers. But those who come to Christ during this time, those whose names are written in the Lamb’s book of life (Revelation 13:8), will choose to endure, even to martyrdom.
A new video has just been released in which Pope Francis very clearly expresses his belief that all of the major religions are different paths to the same God. He says that while people from various global faiths may be “seeking God or meeting God in different ways” that it is important to keep in mind that “we are all children of God”. This is the most recent example that shows that the Pope has completely abandoned any notion that a relationship with God is available only through Jesus Christ. As he has done throughout his papacy, he continues to lay the groundwork for the coming one world religion.
It’s all coming together everyone. Time’s about up NOW!
Jesus is the ONLY WAY to The Father GOD. No man should be called Holy Father (like The Pope).
IF YOU ARE READING THIS NOW, It’s Not too late! While you are breathing, and hopefully right now before the Tribulation begins (7 years of hell on earth) you will accept Jesus, Salvation is FREE for all! Jesus Christ, The Son of God, died for you and me and He arose, defeating death, hell and the grave. Seek Jesus today. I encourage you, precious one. No matter what you are going through or how you feel right now..you matter to God.
This poem was written by a dear Brother in Christ concerning his awakening in God.
THE BLIND MAN, by Joseph Arthurs
My eyes have been shielded
Too many years by now
My heart of rock not yielded
Remaining made of stone.
Why have I ignored this
Letting life pass wearily along
Did I not see the answer
Shining clearly all day long
My arrogance and pride misled me
Telling me I was doing fine
I just decided to let things be
Submitting my heart each time
Til the day He nudged me
Riding on my high horse
My eyes blinked open slowly
As I saw I was at a loss
Now let me say to you clearly
I hope those days are past
It was His grace shocked me
To learn,to pray..but fast
May God now maintain me
Keeping me on His path
With Jesus’ love redeeming
The Spirit too has my back.
