“Papa kills babies”

Streamed live on Jan 28, 2019

This video is absolutely beautiful. I’m speechless…

Lianna Rebolledo was raped almost 23 years ago when she was only 12-years-old.  This horrific event left her wanting to commit suicide. No matter how many showers she would take she felt she could never be clean again. The suicide attempt  led her to the hospital. At the hospital Lianna learned something that shocked her… she was pregnant.

The doctors at the hospital actually encouraged her to have an abortion. But even though she was so young she knew it was wrong. Lianna had one question ” Would an abortion ease my pain and help me forget about my rape?”  The doctors  answered honestly and told her the memories would never be erased. At that moment she knew she could not get rid of her baby.

“If abortion wasn’t going to heal anything, I didn’t see the point,” she said. “I just knew that I had somebody inside my body. I never thought about who her biological father was. She was my kid. She was inside of me.”

Although situation Rebolledo’s was put is truly unfortunate it is not uncommon. According to Prolife more than 250,000 women are raped in America each year. Rebolledo’s reaction to want to keep her baby is not uncommon amongst rape victims.

Two major study’s found that 3/4 of these victims chose to give birth. These women decided to keep their babies because they believed that abortion would just be another act of violence against their own bodies and their children. The studies also indicated that women believe that their child’s life had some intrinsic meaning or purpose which they did not yet understand. By keeping their babies these women have “conquered their rape” and it has helped them regain their sense of power and self-esteem. The same studies also show that women who have decided to have an abortion experience feelings of depression, guilt, burden, and other burdens.

Rebolledo would agree. Now 35, she says that if she had to go through the horror of her rape all over again just to know and love her daughter, she would. “It wasn’t easy,” she admits, “but it was definitely worth it.”

Rebolledo now lives in Los Angeles and runs Loving Life, a non-profit organization that helps raped and pregnant women. She also travels internationally as a pro-life speaker, sharing her story and the message that every life, no matter how it began, is lovable.

“Abortion is not the solution,” Rebolledo says. “Not even for rape.”

Hear Rebolledo’s entire story by clicking on the video below.

Lianna was raped by two men at knife-point when she was only 12 years old. At first she was unable to cope; but when she found out that she was pregnant, she found her reason for living, and all things turned out well in time.

This video is absolutely beautiful. I’m speechless…

Church

creatordoctorGodChurch is not only a building and the House of God, the House of Worship, but Church is also a spiritual hospital.

When I go to Church I go not just to Church, but to the House of the One that provides Living Water so we will never thirst again.

Just as our bodies need checkups and maintenance, so do our innermost selves. Church is where you can find your deepest healing.  Medicine is within The Bible. That’s nourishment for the spirits of men until Jesus comes back for His Bride.  Famine in the Word of God will starve a soul, like a famine in the flesh can starve us to death in that manner.

A Church isn’t a Church without the Body of Christ inside of the building. When you gather among your brothers and sisters, the ember within you that is nearly gone out is then ignited with the Fire of Love. God is Love.

It is so easy to act out of anger, and to lie down in our sadness. But when we seek Jesus, walking with Him, following the Truth…it gets easier taming the flesh that we’re in. No matter how bad it hurts, you can get back up. Not because of your own unseen inner strength, but by the Great loving mercy of God Almighty.  God can do more for a soul in one day than any human being can in an entire lifetime.

He’s a refuge in a world gone bonkers. He’s the steady hand and a warm embrace in the midst of global warfare.

God bless everyone, have a great weekend!

Why I read the Bible: How I see the Word of God Today

This dawned on me tonight, so I made a poster for it.

My attitude toward the Bible…the Word of God, has changed dramatically in the last year, more than ever. For many years I had the wrong attitude toward reading or studying the Bible. I sort of wrote it off as something I couldn’t understand without being at Church. It was just over my head, and the old English didn’t help. It wasn’t but a couple of years after my Baptism that my Bipolar disorder symptoms began to surface, and in that time I lost interest in things I cared for most.

I honestly disregarded the Psalms because I counted them as a bunch of poems or songs that really didn’t matter as much as the rest. I gave Proverbs the most credit as it seemed pretty easy for me to understand. But you know, you can open the Bible to a random spot and find yourself in the middle of the story of a particular person or leader, a battle, and all sorts of situations, including Jesus.  These people, stories, and situations have a background, and it is possible to figure ’em out! It can and will really make sense if you simply give it some of your time and dedication.

I was way off!!!

There is reiteration in this Holy Word, so if you pay attention, you can really see what God is telling us. Now I look at the Bible as The Official Guideline, and Only True Self Help Book (in my words) for living a full, happy life on earth, and especially into a Grand, Beautiful, Eternal One that we cannot comprehend in our mortal form. It is a handbook for anything and everything concerning all matters of this life, Salvation, and the next one.

I think that the main point I wanted to bring about is that I didn’t think I, personally, would ever be able to find help for what I called modern day problems here. The Truth is, over time, and with the more attention you give the Word of God, you see it differently.

There are all sorts of Bible study guides for people, like me, who need some help getting started. There are Bible dictionaries and References so that we can better understand. The study guide that I first picked up was Stuck by Jennie Allen.  I found it at a Christian bookstore…actually it found me, but that’s another post.

Bible study guides are awesome! Whether you’re a Christian or not, reading the Bible can become something extraordinary, and light up your life. You can pray for understanding and guidance, and the Holy Spirit is sure to follow. I just really wanted to share my former attitude toward the Word of God for what it was. Now, my Bible is no longer just a book on my shelf. It’s a part of my daily life. Out of Its case! …Unless for protection or travel 🙂

& If you don’t have a case, you’ve just got  faster and easier access! ❤

I hope you find this post encouraging and helpful. If so, perhaps you will share with another, the idea of how approaching and handling the Word differently changes things, forever.

God bless!
