Daily Devotional with Mr. Jeffrey A. Hale ♥

🎶 All of my life I’ve been waitin’ in the rain
I’ve been waiting for a feeling that never, ever came
It feels so close, but always disappears
Darlin’, in your wildest dreams, you never had a clue
But it’s time you got the news
I’m gonna harden my heart
I’m gonna swallow my tears
I’m gonna turn and leave you here🎶

Facebook friends, does this 1981 song by Quarterflash describe your heart? Is your heart hardened like unplowed soil? By no means am I a farmer like my good friend Darrell Grubbs. I do know soil needs plowing so it doesn’t become hard, dry, and unreceptive to growing life. What’s true for soil is also true for your heart my friends. The heart left on its own tends to become hard. The natural effect of time is to make your heart more and more unreceptive to YeHoVaH/God’s word, His love, and His life. The answer is Spirit plowing so to speak. Hosea 10:12 says, “Break up your fallow ground: it’s time to seek the Lord…” Has your walk become dry, or has your heart become hard to His voice? Learn to plow your heart. Plow open your life and your heart, break up your routine, your patterns, your rut, that habit, your daily life. Open up your life to the plowing of the Spirit. Amen?
