Christianity, Personal Journey

Daily Devotional with Mr. Jeffrey A. Hale 6.22.18 ♥

I absolutely love riding motorcycles. I remember a few years back a friend from work stopped by on his bike and wanted to go for a cruise. The first and only words he said before we departed on our afternoon journey was “Drive fast!” He took off speeding through the city streets and out into the country about 10 minutes ahead of me! Everyone who knows me, knows I’m not a “speed demon”. A while later, I finally caught up with him and he asked me, “Do you know where we are going?” I answered, “No, but I’m driving as fast as I can, you never told me where we are going, just DRIVE FAST🙄.” That’s a perfect picture of our modern society. We’re all so busy racing through life that we so often forget the reason, meaning, purpose, and why of what we’re doing. Is that you? Do you find yourself driven through life, driving fast, but you’re not really getting anywhere? The first thing you need to do is stop. Take time to be still with YeHoVaH/God. Ask Him if this is what you’re supposed to be doing with your life. He might tell you, “No,” or, “Yes, but you’re doing it all wrong.” Be open to change. Instead of living a life that’s driven, live a life that’s Spirit led. As it’s written, you shall go out with joy and be led forth with peace. Needless to say we never rode together again. I enjoy a relaxing peaceful country side ride. Facebook friends, this weekend take time to smell the roses and spend time with YeHoVaH/God and ask Him to direct your steps according to His plan. Amen? **Do not attempt the actions in this video, these are untrained unprofessionals** https://youtu.be/cMVLxQ53Vgw
