Sarah McLachlan & Me

I’ve always loved the soothing vocals of Sarah McLachlan. I was first introduced to her at 13. Now at 29, I am still so intrigued.

Her record, Surfacing, was a significant part of my recovery. During the 6 months I spent in group therapy for my eating disorder, I would come home and in the late evening I’d play every song. They weren’t all the most upbeat, but somehow made me feel more connected to myself.

I stumbled upon the episode of Vh1 Storytellers with Sarah McLachlan on YouTube last night-which has been around for a long time now. There’s just something about live music, and the live acoustic setting that really speaks to me…

I watched all 3 parts. Here’s part 1.

Enjoy the genuine creativity and beauty…
